Martinsburg is a county seat in Berkeley County, in the Hagerstown-Martinsburg metro area.. The community was named after nephew of Lord Fairfax Col. T.B. Martin. Martinsburg covers a total area of 13.1 km² (5.1 mi²) of which 13.0 km² (5.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.40%) is water.
