West Virginia : Tourist Attractions

West Virginia offers romantic getaways, an array of winter sports like skiing, tubing, and snowboarding, scenic highways and national parks, nightlife that you will simply love, water sports like kayaking, whitewater rafting, and boating, Appalachian music and crafts and wild life. Some of the interesting tourist spots are:

    * Harpers Ferry - Harpers Ferry Located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers in the states of West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland Harpers Ferry National Historical Park offers a wide variety of adventurous activities.

    * Seneca Caverns - Eastern Panhandle The Caverns are nicknamed "West Virginia's Underground Wonderland" because of its exquisite beauty.

    * New River Gorge National River - Southern West Virginia The New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent.

    * Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area covers a total scenic area of 100,000 acres. It not only contains the highest peak in West Virginia but some of the best rock climbing places on the east coast and outstanding mountain views in the great West Virginia outdoors.
